Bathroom Refit

This 1970’s built house in Picton had a neglected and rotting asbestos lined bathroom, the owners needed to have it removed, and brought into the 21st century.
The asbestos removal guys took out everything from the room.
New joists were installed where the old had rotted away, new yellow tongue flooring, and a coat of  green waterproofing membrane, then fibre cement sheet, removal of the old hallway linen cupboard, and framing out of new 90mm wall to receive a new cavity slider with flush finish door, then new Aquachek plaster to all surfaces, a new step/shelf for the 1200×1200 shower recess with custom frameless glass to be fitted. The final step was to give all surfaces to be tilled a double coat of the waterproofing membrane paint ready for the tiler to start.
